BENEFITS & FEATURES
BENEFITS OF HURLEY WETSUITS
Hurley wetsuits are developed with high-performance materials, such as limestone-based neoprene, which offers greater flexibility and durability.
The new Exoflex technology ensures greater elasticity, while the insulating interior retains heat and dries quickly between sessions. Furthermore, Hurley wetsuits are made with sustainable materials, such as recycled neoprene and dope-dyed yarns, reinforcing the brand's commitment to the environment.
- Quick drying: Interior designed to dry quickly between surf sessions.
- Strategically placed seams: Guarantee total freedom of movement.
- Key pocket: Integrated into the inner chest panel for added convenience.
- Chest closure: Front zipper for easy opening and waterproofing.
Maximum comfort in the water.
How to choose the ideal wetsuit?
Choosing the right wetsuit depends on the water temperature, the thickness of the neoprene, and the type of closure. Considering these factors is essential to avoid making the wrong choice when buying a rubber suit for surfing.
1. Select the Right Thickness - Wetsuit thickness depends on the water temperatures you will be surfing in. The numbers (e.g., 3/2 mm) indicate the thickness of the neoprene at the torso (first number) and the arms/legs (second number)
- 3/2mm: Best for mild to warm waters (16°C – 20°C).
- 4/3mm: Ideal for cool-to-cold spring and fall waters (10°C – 18°C)
- 5/4mm: Best for deep winter conditions, often featuring an integrated hood
2. Choose Your Hurley Model - Advantage / Advantage Plus: The most popular everyday options. They feature 100% super-stretch Neospan neoprene, heat-trapping thermal lining, and durable taped seams.
Advantage Max: The premium, performance-focused tiers. They use Hurley's most flexible Exoflex materials, feature zipperless entries, and utilize advanced silver-reflective infrared yarns to lock in body heat.
3. Dial in the Perfect Fit - A wetsuit must fit like a "second skin". If it's too loose, water will flush through and cause you to get cold.
- Body Type Matters: Look at the Hurley Men's Wetsuit size chart below to match your height and weight. If you are between sizes, universal advice is to follow your weight, or size up if you are exceptionally tall.
